Isaiah 45:19
"I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right."
Doesn't it seem strange, that rich people have way more money today, than they did when they owned people?

Think about it. How do you go from having slaves ... to having employees ... and walk away with *more* money? ***WAY*** more money. Doesn't that seem backwards?
Why Do We Work?

If your skills were meant to enrich you, companies would never care what your skill level is. They would just hire you, and let you work as much, or little as you want. Think about it. If your work only enriched you, what difference would it make to them if you work hard or not? They want to know what your education and experience level is because they want to get a sense of how much you're going to enrich them. That's why there's more pay as your skill level increases. It's an incentive based program meant to encourage you to work harder so you'll enrich them more.

They don't build companies so that you can enrich yourself. They build companies to get you to work there to enrich them.
Competition Equals Failure

The thing I don't like about a competitive system is, it doesn't allow everyone who wants to succeed, to succeed. Competitive systems limit how many can succeed. If the limit is 1, and 10 people want to succeed, 9 will fail no matter how hard they work. Meanwhile, our culture blames the 9 for failing.
Slavery - 101

In 1776, there were actually people who thought it was ok to own another person. They would use that word, "own", to justify certain things. They believed that it was ok to treat their slaves poorly, and not pay them for their labor, because, they owned them.
Don't they use that same word today to justify the same things? "I own the business so, I can treat you any way I want, and I can pay you as little as I want. If you don't like it, no one is stopping you from finding another job, or starting your own business." The only thing that has changed, is *what* they own. It's a technicality. Slavery still exists. They still use the same word, "own", to justify the same conditions, i.e.: poor treatment and low pay. They still assert that ownership affords them the right to treat us like we're pack animals.
